For the residential owner, moving from a bungalow, house or flat, we offer a free appraisal to assess your requirements whether you are moving direct to a property or to store. This assessment would normally be made in your home, an appointment by arrangement at a day and time to suit you and our representative (either Thomas or David) will call and view all furniture and effects to be moved and answer any points that you wish to discuss.
Our professional eye will work out the number and type of boxes that are needed for your packing ( many customers prefer a quote that illustrates our charges for packing as well as customers who prefer to pack their own china, glass etc.)
It also provides a view on any awkward items that might need dismantling because of their bulk or due to a staircase which has turns (e.g. wardrobes) or long walks from the access with a van to the gate and to the front door.
If you are moving to Europe, normally your furniture and effects will be collected from your residence in the UK and transported by removal lorry to the final destination, with our own staff and colleagues following the job through. Most of our work in Europe is France, Spain,Portugal,Germany,Italy.
Our recent jobs to Ireland have been to Co Mayo, Cork and Dublin in the south and Belfast and environs in the north.
If you are moving ‘deep sea’ Australia, New Zealand, Canada, USA or perhaps Dubai (last year we moved clients to the emirates) we will arrange for export wrapping furniture and effects, load into the necessary size container and dispatch it to the part of the world they are bound. The exporting, customs clearance, necessary paperwork and offloading into your new residence is all included in the one price.
